Psychological Therapies

Wise Minded Wellbeing CIC offers 1:1 psychological therapy for children, adolescents and adults who are experiencing a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression and trauma, as well as those experiencing general stress and overwhelm.

Ali’s approach to therapy is collaborative and compassionate, providing a safe space for people to work on their difficulties.  She mainly uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (or ACT) which combines learning practical strategies for dealing with difficulties, with action focused towards supporting you to live a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

In addition to ACT, Ali also draws on her knowledge and experience as a yoga & mindfulness teacher, and children’s yoga therapist, giving her a more holistic understanding of wellbeing.  She often finds herself combining psychological approaches with tools and techniques from yoga and mindfulness.

If this way of working therapeutically is of interest to you, then please do contact us for more information.  Currently we are offering face-to-face sessions from our office in Marsden or sessions outside in local natural environments.  We are also continuing to offer online sessions.

If you have a private health insurance policy then your policy may cover the full cost, or part of the cost, of sessions.  Ali is currently registered with Bupa, Cigna,  WPA, AXA PPP, and Aviva.
