News Round-up

Some interesting recent stories from the world of yoga and mindfulness…

Now I have been known to offer ‘Jedi Training’, but I love the idea of a Harry Potter themed yoga class, like the one featured in this article.  Maybe I should work on this ready for next Halloween!

This is an interesting article about the benefits of parents and children practicing mindfulness together – perhaps a thought for a future Wise Minded course?

It’s World Kindness Day on 13th November, so here is a brief article about the benefits of kindness on wellbeing – so go on, get out there and be kind to each other!!

Practical Tip:  Shifting out of ‘doing’ mode and into ‘being’ mode

We all have a tendency to get stuck in autopilot, perpetually ‘doing’ – behaviourally, cognitively and emotionally, with very little time spent ‘being’ -just experiencing what is.   This article from Mindful Magazine offers a 7 minute mindfulness practice to help make the shift from ‘doing’ mode to ‘being’ mode.
